Gifted Services and Contracts
The Gifted Services form describes the delivery models and services as well as the focus of the gifted curriculum. The Gifted Contract describes the content area of differentiation as well as the instructional strategies and assessments from the homeroom teacher.
Progress Reports
Progress Reports for students in the Gifted Education Program will go home with report cards each marking period. Signed copies are no longer required at the end of the fourth marking period.
What Does Being Gifted Mean?
All gifted students have been discovering their learning styles, preferences, and strengths through surveys and inventories. Students have determined which intelligences are more developed than others (verbal, math, visual, kinesthetic, musical, naturalist, interpersonal, and intrapersonal). Knowing strengths in specific intelligences can help students strengthen other intelligences that are not used as often. Ask your student, "How are you smart?"
Family Days at Jepson Center
One Saturday each month, the Jepson Center hosts Family Days that are fun, educational and FREE! Enjoy hands-on projects, gallery exploration activities, and story time activities that are designed for the entire family. Everyone can create do-it-yourself masterpieces, play art detective, or explore the ArtZeum, an interactive arts space. Each month will feature a different theme based on the museum's changing exhibitions. For more information about upcoming events and dates, contact the Jepson Center.
